Loki's Helm by Sethrine Loki's Helm by Sethrine
Loki's Helm. Not much else to say. Turned out just....honestly, one of my best paintings thus far.

First thing- your style of painting is very very nice. The metal just looks like metal and your choice of colours is great.
neverthless, one question- why did you choose horizontal format instead of the portrait one?
The horns are very weightily for the design and the horns are very long. Here they appear to be compressed and that ruins the overall appearance. sadly....

Thank you very much! I did my best to make the helmet look as real as possible.
I understand that, yes, the horns seem quite compressed, and it was not intended. Usually I try to plan my projects out beforehand so I can make sure everything fits correctly and the details are right. However, since this project was literally a right then-and-there piece, I didn't really take time to plan on how the helmet would fit on the canvas horizontally. Honestly, I didn't even plan on making the helmet that big on the canvas, anyway, but my proportions got out of hand a bit at the base of it, and it was too late to change that.
Thank you very much for your comment.
